A Stunning & Captivating Tribute To Barbra Streisand
The Way We Were
Second Hand Rose
Impersonating Streisand is no easy task, but Julie has managed to impose her own style on the legendary singers wonderful vocals and followers of the American icon, who have been unable to see her in person, can relive some of her most memorable songs.
Julie, who took the leading role in 'Beauty and the Beast' in London (1991), has since toured Germany and Portugal as a singer as well as appearing on TV in Eastenders, The Bill, Moon and Sun and The Darling Buds of May. While auditioning for the lead role in the London musical Copacabana, she was chosen by GMTV to sing live on their Breakfast show.
She joined forces with husband Tony in January 2006 to appear in a Stars in Their Eyes family special - performing their superb rendition of the classic song 'I've Had The Time of My Life' (from Dirty Dancing), having successfully assumed the roles of Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.
Julie has received many years of professional vocal training and because of her very pure and powerful voice, she has often been requested to sing Streisand songs. Of course the American singer is unique, no one yet has ever been truly able to replicate her outstanding voice, but Julie has proven time and again that she has the ability to bring great pleasure to even Streisands most ardent fan.
A memorable evening awaits and Julie Coupland is an act not to be missed.
