Funktion

Funktion is a high energy pop covers group available as anything from a trio to a seven piece band. Its purpose is to make any occasion be it a wedding, birthday, anniversary, bar/bat mitzvah or corporate event into a memorable one for all. The carefully selected repertoire of floor-fillers from the 70's to this day will keep you dancing all night.

Funktion was originally formed in 2008 by six experienced musicians who met during their time at Paul McCartney's world renowned music college in Liverpool (LIPA) and later moved to London together. As a group Funktion have been busy playing around England in the North West, South West and London. Clients include Gallery and Gusto restaurants, the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel, the Royal British Legion and numerous private parties.

The band members individually are top quality professional musicians whose range of experience includes pit orchestras, jazz ensembles, supporting popular artists, work on cruise ships and more. The lead vocalist Kate Threlfall is an established original act and recently became Jazz FMs 'Vocalist of the Year for 2010'.

Expect a friendly, professional service with plenty of communication. The band is a self contained unit and when you make a booking this includes the use of a PA system, mixing desk and other sound equipment. Clients are actively encouraged to make requests and the band will even add music to the repertoire if there is a specific first dance for example.

This band can appear as 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 piece with the price varying accordingly. Prices can be discussed on application.
