Ric Herrington has amazed and delighted audiences around the UK since 1999 as The (magical) Singing Chef. A leading children’s and family entertainer in the UK, The Singing Chef has been featured across the UK at festivals, galas, and private affairs with many requests for repeat performances. His kooky and funny songs, original magic tricks and spontaneous humour are a natural crowd spirit lifter. The Singing Chef has dazzled audiences from the Isle of Wight to the Shetlands, Cornwall and Wales to the Scottish Highlands.

This Chef is like no other. From children material (‘Apples And Bananas’, on top of ‘Spaghetti’) to side-splitting humour (‘La La Lasagne’and ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch’) to education programmes (‘What's On Your Plate’) to cookery demonstrations (school programmes, food festivals, ready steady cook demos). The Singing Chef is prepared to garnish your event with a full portion of excitement.

Ric Herrington has performed for children for over thirty years in the United States, Mexico, Canada, and almost every county in the United Kingdom. His music and silly antics have been noted in numerous community newspapers and even immortalised through fan websites such as the Bebo Singing Chef Appreciation Page!

After eight years of UK appearances on stage, television, food festivals and community events, the Singing Chef is back again with a new recipe of fun with his tangy magical and musical fun. A former American chef and entertainer, Ric has performed in the UK alongside the likes of Ready Steady Cook chefs Paul Rankin, Nick Nairn, Lesley Waters, and Phil Vickery, Two Fat Ladies’ Clariisa Dickson-Wright, Big Breakfast’s Johnny Vaughn and Lisa Tarbuck and other regional celebrities.

Professional magic has become a major part of the Chef’s appearances since 2001. British audiences have welcomed the food themed magic routines. Ric has developed unique routines based on magical illusions learned from Paul Daniels, David Blaine, and others.
