The Ring Of Fire are a four piece band from North Devon who play tribute to the music of the late Johnny Cash.Their set consists of a broad range of songs ranging from Cash’s early Sun recordings like Cry Cry Cry and Folsom Prison Blues, right through his 50 year career to his last records such as Nick Cave's The Mercy Seat and the now legendry version of Trent Reznor’s Hurt.
All are played with a dark and slightly sinister edge that Cash himself exuded, and played in the way you would expect Cash to have played them in his early days, with an energy and intensity only possible to achieve with a true feeling and respect for the music.
The band have currently been gigging regularly around the UK and have supported acts such as KT Tunstall.
Whether you’re a die hard Cash fan, or have just found yourself humming along to one of his songs on the radio, this is a great opportunity to get a taste of the phenomena that was Johnny Cash.

“Not only did we receive rave feedback from our big audience but even my own theatre technicians heaped praise on the band - something that is quite rare!!”- Mark Barnes, Elgiva Theatre Manager
“The Ring of Fire are the finest Cash tribute band around.”
- Joe Gibbs, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival Organiser
“The fans of the Man in Black were not disappointed by this celebration of the best of his work. The Ring Of Fire bring the essence of the Johnny Cash to the stage. Sean's rich voice complements the tender emotional elements of the love songs and equally suits the energetic rhythms of numbers like One Piece at a Time. The audience was particularly delighted when Sean's delightful daughter, Rachel, joined him to sing 'Times A Wasting' - this reflection of the family ties which were a part of Johnny Cash's own life, with his close connection with June Carter and her performances with her family made the moment particularly poignant - we loved having you!”
- Margie Barbour, Artistic Director, Marine Theatre
“I don't think I have ever heard Johnny Cash do the song 'One' but if he did I couldn't picture it sounding any better then you guys. Truely amazing. Johnny cash is a legend here in America and you guys certainly are living up to his legend.”
“You made my night and so many people were thrilled with your performance. Musically brilliant.”
- Angela Warwick
