The Groove Company is the premier live wedding, corporate, party covers function band in the South-East of England.

This self-contained 4 piece function band is ideal for any occasion and covers a diverse range of styles from pop, rock, jazz, soul, rock 'n' roll, rhythm and blues, disco, swing, ballroom and sequence dancing. Their repertoire consists of over 600 songs including hits from the 1940's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's - with a disco included in the band breaks so you can be sure there will be something for everyone.

The band can perform special themed sets from the decades, as well as Sinatra 'Rat Pack', Blues Brothers, The Commitments, James Brown Soul and background jazz.

Based in Oxfordshire, The Groove Company will travel anywhere but regularly perform around Oxford, Bicester, Reading, Windsor, Newbury, London, Slough, High Wycombe, Henley, Marlow, Bristol, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Gloucestershire. The band has regularly appeared on the cruise ships Minerva I and Minerva II for Swan Hellenic.

Reliability - The Groove Company are always punctual, polite, helpful, smart and take pride in their work.

Versatility - Unlike other bands who may perform the same 20 songs every night, The Groove Company are renowned for their large repertoire that covers many different styles - anything not performed live is probably covered on CD. The Groove Company perform a different set every night to suit the audience.

Full Time Pro Musicians - The Groove Company provide excellent professional musicians that have played with 'named' recording artists. If you book an amateur band, say 12 months in advance of your function, can you be sure they will still be a band when it comes to your function date?

Disco and Background CD's - The Groove Company offer CDs in the band breaks for both dancing and background music. The CD collection is extensive and The Groove Company welcome requests, just like a normal disco. Primarily The Groove Company are a live band so might not have as large a selection of CDs and lighting effects as a fulltime disco however they feel the function can lose momentum if there are periods where nothing is happening.

Stage Lighting - The Groove Company provide stage lighting to illuminate the members of the band. If the venue does not have stage lighting this is an essential requirement that is often overlooked.

Disco Lighting - The Groove Company provide disco effects lighting to illuminate the dance floor and create atmosphere.

Clients choice of songs - The Groove Company like to send the client their full song list that they perform so that they can tick and list their favourites to be played on the night. Or the choice can just be left up to The Groove Company. The Groove Company will adapt to the atmosphere of the function - they do not play the same songs for every occasion.

Public liability insurance - The Groove Company are insured through the Musicians Union.

Quality PAT tested equipment - Although nothing can be absolutely guaranteed when electrical equipment is involved, The Groove Company provide reliable top quality equipment which is regularly maintained.
