The LBE Palm Court Trio is one of the UK's most versatile and popular small ensembles, suitable for almost any occasion. Formal or informal, large or small, weddings, receptions, dinner functions, garden parties, these three musicians never fail to please.

With Steve Fletcher’s unique ability to swap between Cello and Trumpet, an extra dimension is added to this groups stunning versatility. This ensemble could be described as a cross between a string quartet, cocktail pianist and a ‘dinner jazz’ band!

The Palm Court Trio has a huge repertoire of music, which can be adapted to suit your requirements. Baroque, classical, light jazz, swing, gypsy violin solos, tangos, waltzes, trumpet solos, fanfares, film, show and TV themes, easy listening, love songs, pop classics... the list goes on and on! They have a large selection of traditional classical wedding music along with many modern alternatives suitable for church or civil wedding ceremonies, civil partnerships, and background music ideal for receptions, garden parties, dinner functions or almost any special occasion you could think of! You can have as much or as little input as you would like in choosing the music for your function. Special requests are very rarely a problem as Steve Fletcher regularly produces new arrangements for this ensemble without extra charge. Feel free to choose specific pieces, guide the trio with your preferred style of music, or simply allow them to follow the mood of the day performing music in various styles to entertain guests of all ages and tastes.

As mentioned above, Steve Fletcher can swap between Cello and Trumpet. This increases the trio's repertoire, enabling them to perform popular trumpet tunes such as ‘Trumpet Voluntary’, and can add a jazzy feel to the sound of the trio with music including Gershwin’s ‘Summertime’ and Sherwin’s ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square’. Steve can perform trumpet fanfares, ideal to announce ‘dinner is served’ at formal dinner functions or the ‘entrance of the Bride and Groom’ at your wedding breakfast. He can also perform a dazzling rendition of the Post Horn Gallop.

The Palm Court Trio is regularly expanded by adding extra musicians to suit the occasion. From a Soprano Opera singer to extra strings, brass or woodwind to form a full Salon Orchestra.

The Palm Court Trio comes fully equipped with a digital piano and PA system when necessary. They also provide their own Gazebo for shade when performing outdoors.

» On The Day

The Palm Court Trio have a very professional working attitude. They will arrive in plenty of time to set up and liaise with you, your event organiser, wedding coordinator or toastmaster regarding any details of their performance. They will have spoken to and emailed you in detail prior to your function, so will already know exactly what is required of them. If there are any last minute changes to the format of your function, you will find them flexible and happy to adapt.

The trio ask for light refreshments (drinks and sandwiches or similar) to be provided at most functions.
