Midnight Sun are made up by vocalist Rosie Timoney and saxophonist Dan Forshaw. They first performed together for a feature on BBC TV whilst Dan was Artiste in Residence at Belfast’s Urban Soul. They have since performed for countless social functions and weddings and are in great demand throughout the UK and Ireland.Dan Forshaw is a highly regarded and critically acclaimed saxophonist who has performed all over the world. He spent a number of years performing and studying in London and New York, and has been offered work as afar away as Beijing! Now settled in Belfast, he is kept busy with his teaching, performing and recording schedule
Rosie Timoney has a strong background in musical theatre, and she has appeared in productions of Chicago, Kiss Me Kate, and Blood Brothers. She also works as a session / backing vocalist for an wide variety of Irish acts, ranging from ‘One Night With Elvis” to various classical chamber choirs. An accomplished actress, Rosie has also taken leading roles in a number of high profile Belfast productions of Shakespeare, as well as more recent, and local works such as ‘Lovers’ and ‘Playboy of the Western World’.
