When audiences watch Laurie Anna for the first time, for many the first words that come to mind are “Oh .My. God.”
Her vocals are unique, appearance outrageous and choice of material very different.

But her comedy talent is outstanding. You will be literally rolling around the aisles, wiping tears from your brow an laughing all the way home. Her ability to have an audience eating out of her hand is amazing.

Over the last six years Laurie has developed a fantastic persona that is zany, shocking and outrageous. Her humour is often quite simple, quick and visual, mixed with singing comedy and innuendoes. Her humour is very slap-stick in style. Her facial expressions and her over weight figure only enhance her humour.. (But when you are 5ft tall and look like an oompah loompah who cares.)

As well as writing her own material and songs, she performs original hits, it’s what she does with them that makes them funny. If you are thinking she is like other comics, you are hugely mistaken. Her act has no stand-up material and is very unique. Its quite a shock to see such an over-weight person with such a
versatile body. If anyone deserves to be thin she does.(maybe it’s all the chinese food on the way home)

A television career is what Laurie strives for, and where her ambitions lie. Whether it be in a comedy sketch show/sitcom or as a warm up act for television programmes.

Making people laugh is the best gift she could ever offer, only a few weeks ago a lady came upto her after a gig and said “Darling I only have two weeks to live and I have been so down, but for the last hour and a half I forgot all my problems. I have never laughed so much and I want to thank you for making me smile”.
That why she does what she does!!! Are lives are so full of problems we all need to laugh more.

Clare Is A Devoted And Caring Mother To Her Beautiful Girls. She Is Quite A Shy Person Off Stage And Would Stand On Her Own In The Playground At School Because She Didn’t Know Anyone. She Spent Most Of Her Teenage Years Being Bullied For Being Dyslexic, And Having An Illness Called M.e. She Knows First Hand How Cruel Some Children Can Be. But She Has Grown Up With Some Very Special Qualities And Determination To Achieve Her Dreams.

She Is So Driven That She Will Not Stop Till She Becomes The Best She Can Be. She Has Spent Most Of Her Life On The Stage In Musicals, One Of Her Favourite Leads Was Nancy In “oliver”. But It’s The Television Industry Where Her Ambititions Lie.

She Has Done Some Extra Work For Casting Agents, But Really Wants To Be Involved In Comedy Sketch Shows Or Comedy Sitcoms. She Is Not Stupid And Understands That She Has To Work Up From The Bottom. Her Overall Dream Is To Be The New Benny Hill Or Victoria Wood.

She Would Love To Perform Behind The Camera Too As A Television Warm-up Act.

Clare Has 3 Children And Also A Very Trusting And Understanding Husband Who Believes In Her And Her Act So Much. He Would Be Prepared To Support Her In What Ever Way Is Needed.

Well out and about last night tripping around town being nosey lke you do. Went to the De Kyme to see Laurie Anna & I must admit she can have an audience in the palm of her hand. Cheeky, funny and energetic(Don’t think the stool will be the same after the Knicker song). Sign Language for Take That “Shine” now that was funny & the irish dancing on the 4ft table to “Tell Me Ma” at the end of the spot, wot a finish. This girl deserves a venue, full to the rafters for her act & I bet you’ll never stop laughing all night. Great entertainment, great presentation & look forward to seeing you again.

The whole venue was in uproar and stitches to the comic antics of the most talented comedienne seen locally for some considerable time. Indeed look out boys this chick is hot. Hi Laurie Anna Well what can we say? Working in the business for as long as we have, it’s been years since we have seen anything like you and your amazing performance. We haven’t laughed so much in ages, and got a real feeling that we had ‘discovered’ something special the second you stepped onto the stage. You had the audience in the palm of your hand. Some of the things you got away with were hysterical, and in fact that the audience not only allowed you to do the things you did, but loved it too was a real credit to you and your obvious talent.
