Steve’s interest in hypnosis came about after seeing fellow hypnotist, Paul Mckenna, at the Cambridge Corn Exchange in November 1994. After reading several books on the subject he decided to enrol at the Proudfoot School of Hypnosis & Psychotherapy in Scarborough. On the 12th May 1995, he qualified as a Master Hypnotist and immediately began work as a hypnotherapist in and around Cambridge.

Success upon success followed and so did an overwhelming urge to go on the stage, firstly to spread the word on hypnosis and secondly, to supplement his income.

And so 'THE HYPNOTIC EXPERIENCE SHOW,' was born. His first show was in October 1995 in front of 65 people. After a slow start, the evening went fine and he knew then that he had the knowledge and confidence to move on to a much bigger audience. He is now busy booking up venues all over the country at pubs, clubs, Universities, MOD sites, hotels, theatres, fund raising events and holiday parks and he feels astounded by all the support he receives from newspapers, radio stations, local councils and of course, the public. He is also regarded as quote, 'one of Britain's top stage hypnotists,' by BBC Radio. Easily, he is one of the busiest working hypnotists in the UK.

The show has been reviewed by the press and has also been monitored by council licensing officers for its content, safety and professionalism. This is why the show is granted the special license it requires (where applicable) from one end of the country, to the other.

A professional through and through, full public liability insurance through Equity and the whole show abides with the 1952 Hypnotism Act and its subsequent revisions.

» Show Info:

• Although Steve prefers to perform to an over 18 audience. His show is just good, clean family fun. With performance times between 90 - 120 minutes it’s an evening’s entertainment in its own right.
• The show has been so carefully and thoroughly thought out so that everyone present can have a wonderful time. In fact, one of the main comments made is that the volunteers and audience laugh together, rather than at each other.
• Performances require a working area where between 10 – 12 chairs can be put in a row with some overhead lighting. Being an audience participation show, a good audience is essential. Steve’s one comment to bookers is that ‘you get the people in, I’ll concentrate on getting volunteers.
