Highway Child are a 7 piece Soul, Blues and Funk review band playing songs made famous by ‘The Blues Brothers’ and ‘The Commitments’. Songs by soul legends such as Sam and Dave, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, James Brown and many many more.This is an all live band featuring a combination of Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophone. Harmonica, Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, Bass, Vocal and 3 Backing Vocals. Expect a massive sound!
The band prides them self on their performances and have often been referred to as “the most energetic band around!” Rest assured they’ll get the party started and everyone dancing.
All members of the band are experienced and professional musicians including backgrounds from big bands, tribute acts, theatres, music tutors and music examiners.
The band offer as standard 2x45 minute sets. However, set lengths and numbers can be changed to accommodate your needs. They have an extensive range of material and can play extra if requested. Special requests can also be accommodated such as first dance songs for wedding etc...
