Funky Buddha was set up in 2007 by a group of musicians with years of professional experience. Funky Buddha is a band that specialises in classic funk/soul with musicians that can deliver a captivating performance. This is achieved through a love of the music and dedicated study; the entire band has graduated with degrees from some of the country's leading music colleges.

Our set has been designed to get audiences dancing right from the first song and includes tunes by James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power and The Average White Band as well as some classic 60's soul and disco. We also regularly update our repertoire with modern material by the likes of Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Duffy and Jools Holland. We can offer various line up options; the most popular being the 6 piece that consists of vocals, keys, guitar, bass, drums, trpt and sax. This can be increased all the way up to a 12 piece that includes 2 backing vocalists/dancers and a 5 piece horn section!

We have been performing regularly throughout the South East over the past year and recently performed to over 1400 people at Earls Court. Other clients we have worked for include Channel 4, British Gas and Symbian.

If your budget is limiting your options look no further than Little Buddha, the sister band of Funky B. Little Buddha has been designed with the same high quality of musicianship but consists of a smaller band line up who use professional backing tracks to enhance their sound.

The band consists of female lead vocals, guitar and saxophone. All our musicians have years of experience in the music industry. Members of the band have recorded and performed for the BBC, Channel 4, Radio 1, Ministry of Sound and have had some of their own compositions used for various films/TV. Credits include CSI, Nip/Tuck, Match of the Day and Human Traffic.

Consisting of only three musicians means that Little Buddha offers versatility that cant always be accomplished by a larger band. We have performed throughout the UK and are equally comfortable performing to 200 at a corporate event or 30 people at an intimate party. Whatever your requirements we can cater for them!

Little Buddha provides full professional PA, lighting rig and background DJ music for between sets.
