» Profile
‘Elvis Tonight’ is an energetic and spectacular tribute to the greatest entertainer of the 20th Century – Elvis Presley. The show consists of music from all eras of Elvis’ career – from the early days of his first hits in the mid 50’s when Elvis was touring the United States in a clapped out car with his band trying desperately to gain recognition, through the world famous 1968 ‘Comeback Special’ and onwards to the days of the huge concerts of the 1970’s when he was rightly regarded as the one and only King of Rock and Roll.
Elvis himself only stepped foot on British soil once. During his time in the US Army Elvis and his unit stopped in Scotland for refuelling of the ‘plane carrying them back to their German Base. Despite huge demand Elvis never performed a concert in the UK although he was known to be keen on the idea.
There was only one Elvis Presley and, sadly, he is no longer available to make the dreams of his UK fan base come true by appearing in concert here. ‘Elvis Tonight’ was formed from a genuine desire to fulfil the dreams of Elvis’ huge fan base in the UK by attempting to bring just a little of his undoubted magic to the live stage.
Every member of ‘Elvis Tonight’ is a genuine Elvis fan and the show is designed as an affectionate and respectful tribute that will have you dancing all the way home.
With a fantastic group of musicians, great vocal talent and authentic costumes ‘Elvis Tonight’ will provide a show to remember for many years to come.
The lead Vocalist, Adam Miles, has been an Elvis fan all of his life. Although only eight years old when Elvis died in 1977, Adam can vividly recall the very real sense of grief that accompanied the sad news. Although he was involved with a successful covers band for some time he had always dreamed of being part of a truly vibrant Elvis tribute. Thanks to a lucky meeting with John Allen (Drums) and Tony Rapson (Keys) ‘Elvis Tonight’ was born.
All the members of ‘Elvis Tonight’ spend a huge number of hours honing their skills to allow them to produce the very best tribute to Elvis that is possible. There is always a lot of laughter and enjoyment to be had at rehearsals and they know that, if they truly enjoy what they do, so will you!
‘Elvis Tonight’ can provide a show that lasts for as little as 45 minutes or as long as 2 ½ hours and is suitable for theatres, corporate events, weddings, clubs, private functions, Christmas and New Years celebrations and any special occasions. They will travel to you with a fully costumed show with spectacular light and sound that will genuinely show that they are ‘Taking care of business’.
So sit back and enjoy the show – you will feel as if you were there watching the King himself!
